Death is a door that everyone who is proceeding forth from every direction must enter; it is waiting to receive them while they are deluded into thinking that they are turning away from it:
Say: Indeed, the death from which you flee will surely meet you.” [Al-Jumuʿah 62:8]
Shaikh Abdul Aziz Al-Tarefe
“So say, ‘The death you run away from will come to meet you and you will be returned to the One who knows the unseen as well as the seen: He will tell you everything you have done.’” This life is only a form of enjoyment that deceives those who incline towards it. Surely, those who do so will admire it and feel that it is dear to them, so much so, that they might think that this is the only life, with no existence or dwelling after it. Yet, in reality, this life is insignificant as compared to the Hereafter. As Ibnul Qayyim mentions in Al Fawa’id: ‘That the successful ones are aware of the reality of this worldly life, being sure of the inferiority of its degree, they overcame their vain desires for the sake of the Hereafter...they perceive the distant journey they must undertake, they remember their aim, so it appears easy for them. Whenever life becomes bitter, they remember this verse, in which Allah (SWT) says: هَـٰذَا يَوۡمُكُمُ ٱلَّذِى ڪُنتُمۡ تُوعَدُونَ "This is your Day which you have been promised" (Qur’an 21:103)’ Gems From The Quran Facebook: tinyurl.com/FB-gftq Telegram: tinyurl.com/TG-gftq Instagram: tinyurl.com/Insta-gftq
