Whenever your soul invites you to disobey Allah, gently converse with it and ask: قُلۡ أَذَٲلِكَ خَيۡرٌ أَمۡ جَنَّةُ ٱلۡخُلۡدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلۡمُتَّقُونَۚ “Is that better or the Garden of Eternity which is promised to the righteous?” (Qur’an 25:15)

We can often see people bite their nails when nervous. Others may bite a finger out of regret. However, can you imagine biting a whole hand? or even worse... both hands?! وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ الظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي اتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ الرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا “And on that Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret], and say, ‘If only I had taken the same path as the Messenger.” (Qur’an 25:27)
An indication of the severity of the overwhelming and incapacitating regret that the sinners will feel on the day of Judgement.

“The Messenger has said, ‘Lord, my people treat this Qur’an as something to be abandoned.’” The sins of the Ummah can be wide and varied, yet the Prophet (peace be upon him) specifically complained to Allah about the abandonment of the Qur'an! And the servants of the Beneficent Allah are they who walk on the earth in humbleness, and when the ignorant address them, they say: Peace.]
Being enslaved to Allah is of two types: Enslavement to His Lordship and under His Control, and this is shared by all of the creation - Muslim and kaafir, righteous and corrupt. For they are all slaves of Allah subject to His control and power.
The second type is Enslavement to His worship and those who are under His special mercy, and those that fall under this category are the prophets and the Awliyaa (friends of Allah), and this is what is intended here in this ayah, and by connecting them to His name “Ar Rahman” is an indication that they only reached this state (of being Allah’s slaves) by His Mercy.
So the mention of their qualities will be the best and most complete characteristics and virtues, they are described as [they walk on the earth lightly] meaning, peacefully and in humility to Allah and the creation.
This is their attribute of tranquillity and peace and humbleness they show to Allah and to His slaves. • [And when the ignorant people speak to them they respond by saying Salaama (words of peace/safety)] Menaing their speech is the one that is safe from sin, and also protects the ignorant one from his own ignorance.
And this is a praise for the servants of the Most Compassionate, that they have excessive forbearance, and repel the sinner with Ihsaan and goodness, and lovingly pardon the ignorant one, with the intellect they have been given that allows them to reach this state.

The Standard | ﴿وَالَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا.﴾ ﴾And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from our spouses and our children the coolness of our eyes and make us the leader of the righteous.”﴿ al-Furqān:74 When you ask Allāh to make you the ‘Leader of the Righteous’ you’re essentially asking Allāh to make you The Standard. The standard for others to strive for, the standard for others to learn from, the standard example set to teach others, the standard to turn to in situations of darkness and doubt for some light and guidance; “What will so and so do if s/he was in this situation?” The standard to show people the best possible application of the Dīn no matter what the circumstance may be. The standard for people in their speech and actions, and in their ways and behaviour, and in their thought and thinking—so you BETTER make it a high standard. When you ask Allāh to make you the leader of the righteous you better be willing to make the sacrifices and to take the leaps that will raise the bar above and beyond. The instant you lower your standards and make exceptions, others will follow suit and your next step will likely be lower than the one before it. The instant you lower your standards, the words you parrot become fanciful wishes void of conviction, because duʿāʾ necessitates action, so when you ask Allāh to make you the leader of the righteous, you better be willing to put on those shoes and show people how it’s done. May Allāh make us the best standard for mankind. ✨: http://quranicreflections.com/2017/04/01/the-standard-2/
