" من تغافل عن عيوب النَّاس ، وأمسك لسانه عن تتبُّع أحوالهم الَّتي لا يحبُّون إظهارها: سلم دينه وعرضه، وألقى الله محبَّته في قلوب العباد، وستر الله عورته، فإنَّ الجزاء من جنس العمل، وما ربك بظلَّام للعبيد".

Shaykh Sa’di (may Allah have mercy on him) said : Whoever leaves and neglects the shortcomings of the people, and restrains his tongue from following their situations that which they do not like to be made apparent, he has protected his religion and his honor, Allah will place the love of him in the hearts of the slaves; and Allah will cover his Awrah ; for indeed the reward is given according to the type of deed that is done. And your Lord is not oppressive to the slaves. ﺍﻟﻔﻮﺍﻛﻪ ﺍﻟﺸَّﻬﻴﺔ(١١٢/١)📚
From the worst forms of reprimand, is the sinner admonishing his own limbs on the Day of Judgement, saying: لِمَ شَهِدتُّمْ عَلَيْنَا “Why did you testify against us?” (Qur’an 41:21) The limbs will reply: قَالُوا أَنطَقَنَا اللَّهُ الَّذِي أَنطَقَ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ "We were made to speak by Allah, who has made everything speak” (Qur’an 41:21) Gems From The Quran Facebook: tinyurl.com/FB-gftq Telegram: tinyurl.com/TG-gftq Instagram: tinyurl.com/Insta-gftq
Tafseer As Saedy Juz 23| Surah Fussilat : Ayah 22-23
[And you were not veiled yourselves lest your ears and your eyes and your skins should bear witness against you, but you thought that Allah did not know most of what you did.]
[And that was your (evil) thought which you entertained about your Lord that has tumbled you down into perdition, so are you become of the lost ones.]
You were not unaware of the fact that your body parts would bear witness against you, yet you did not take any heed nor warning.
Rather you thought, while entering upon committing sin, that Allah does not know much that which you do. -معاذ الله-
And due to this, you committed that which you committed. And this evil thought (that Allah did not know what they were doing) was the cause of their destruction and their wretchedness.
[And that thought which you thought about your Lord] -that which does not befit his majesty- [destroyed you, so you became of the losers.] Losing their souls, their families, their religion, all due to actions that caused ill thoughts about your Lord, so punishment and wretchedness has been deserved by you, and eternal abode therein has been made obligatory upon you, the torment which will not be alleviated even for an hour.
- Summarized Translation-
SubhanAllah. We need to bring ourselves to account and ask ourselves what we truly think about Allah when committing sins/about to sin? Do we think he’s not watching us, or does not have complete knowledge of what we are doing? SubhanAllah! Look at the severe punishment described for those who have evil thoughts. May Allah protect us. May Allah forgive us and instill within us His love and fear.

For the dā‘ī to confine himself to targhīb (encouragement) with the exclusion of tarhīb (warning) is contrary to the da‘wah of all the messengers: “Nothing is said to you [O Muḥammad] except what was already said to the messengers before you. Indeed, your Lord is the Possessor of forgiveness, and also the Possessor of painful punishment.” [Fuṣṣilat 41:43]
Allah shows the signs of His universe: orbits of stars, winds and hurricanes... to show His power and to break the arrogance of His creatures so that they believe in Him:
{ سَنُرِيهِمْ آيَاتِنَا فِي الآفَاقِ وَفِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ حَتَّى يَتَبَيَّنَ لَهُمْ أَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ } “We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.”
