Baby Musa did not drown even at the pinnacle of weakness, yet Fir'awn drowned when at the height of his power. "And He (Allāh) is the powerful, the exhalted in Might".43:19
The Arabs of Jāhilīyah were better than the people of Jāhilīyah today with respect to religion, because the Jāhilīyah of the Arabs was due to blindly following their fore-fathers whereas the Jāhilīyah of today is due to blindly following the enemies, their argument being: “Indeed, we found our fathers upon a religion, and we are, in their footsteps, following.” [Az-Zukhruf 43:23]
“We have allocated their livelihood among them in the life of this world…” (Qur’an 43:32) نَحۡنُ قَسَمۡنَا بَيۡنَہُم مَّعِيشَتَہُمۡ فِى ٱلۡحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنۡيَاۚ Your family, your friends, your status, even the affection you receive from those you love has been allocated and apportioned to you by Allah, so will you be satisfied? “Sayyaaraa ash-Shaami said, ‘They will come out of their graves, all of them terror-stricken. Then a caller will announce, ‘My worshippers! No fear shall be on you this Day, nor shall you grieve!’ [Zukhruf 43:68]—and so all of creation will ardently hope on account of it, then it will be followed by, ‘Those who believed in Our verses and were Muslims!’ [Zukhruf 43:69]—and so the entire creation will lose all hope, apart from the Muslims.’”
Allah The Most High commanded the messenger (salallaahu ‘ alaihi wa sallam) to convey a very important message to the people; within it lies a beautiful point of methodology....
Allah says in the Qur'an Say, [O Muhammad], "If the Most Merciful had a son, then I would be the first of [his] worshippers." (43:81)
So here we learn something amazing. That the messenger (salallaahu ‘ alaihi wa sallam) was the best of those to worship Allah, he was the most knowledgeable about Allah, the most keen to please his Lord and the best of creation. This is to such an extent, that if Allah had taken a son, our Prophet would have been the FIRST to worship him!
Of course, Allah is far above having a son or any partners, but the point still applies - that the prophet (salAllahu alayhi wa sallam) showed us the perfect way to worship Allah in a way that pleases Him. And in this lies a refutation of those who seek to innovate in the religion - they take a path to worship Allah that the Prophet (salallaahu alayhi wa sallam) did not take. So indirectly, whether they like it or not, they are saying that they have found a way to worship Allah that either the Prophet didn't know about, or that he didn't tell us about. Both are catastrophic positions to hold.
This is over and above the clear prohibitions in the Qur'an and Sunnah about innovating into this religion. Follow and do not innovate, for indeed you have been sufficed.
[So turn away from them and say, Peace, for they shall soon come to know.]
Meaning, turn away from them, from that which they come with to hurt you - from both speech and actions. And lovingly pardon them. And let nothing come out from you except Salaam - Words of peace and safety. These are the words by which those of understanding and insight use in response to ignorant people, as Allah told us in another ayah [And when the ignorant speak to them, they reply back with words of peace\safety].
So the prophet صَل الله عليه وسلم followed the command of His Lord, and he met the harm that which was directed to him from his people and others, with pardoning and beautifully overlooking, and he never replied to them except with Ihsaan and goodness towards them, and beautiful speech.
So May Peace and Salutations be upon the one whom Allah has specially chosen to give great and lofty character, the one who has been favored over the people of the earth and the heavens, and raised above the stars of the galaxy :sparkles::milky_way::dizzy:
[And soon, they will come to know] the final result of their sins, and the final punishment of their crimes.
