Tafseer As Saedy :gem: Juz 3| Surah Aal Imraan: Ayah 29 Say: Whether you hide what is in your hearts or manifest it, Allah knows it, and He knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth, and Allah has power over all things.
Allah informs us of His ever encompassing knowledge of all that is hidden within the chests, just as He is knowledgeable of everything within the skies and earth. So there is nothing which is hidden for Him. And while He knows everything, He has the Most Power and ability over all things.
So, No matter what your situation is, remember that Allah knows what is apparent and what is hidden; He knows everything - and only He has complete ability to solve your problems and give you happiness.

Types of Loving the Messenger and Honoring Him.
It is not from loving the Messenger nor Honoring him to take up the bid'ah (innovation) that he warned against. And he informed us that it is an evil and a misguidance, and indeed honoring him is only by obeying him, and staying upright in carrying out his commands, and submitting to his rulings, and following his guidance, and treading his path, and firmly enrooting oneself on it in hidden and apparant,

It is recommended to make duʿā for one’s grandchildren along with one’s children, even before their existence. The wife of ʿImrān, the mother of Maryam, said: { وَإِنِّي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَإِنِّي أُعِيذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ } “And I have named her Maryam, and I seek refuge with You for her and for her descendants from Shayṭān, the outcast.” [Āl ʿImrān 3:36]
Lesson from sūrat al-ʿimrān: A mother's duʿāʾ for her child's righteousness and protection against shayṭān from the start is crucial in ensuring that the child's nurturers, caregivers and educators later on are righteous people. Maryam ʿalayha salām's mother made duʿāʾ seeking Allāh's protection against the devil for her unborn child and its progeny, thus Mayram ended up in the care of Zakariyya, a noble Prophet. 〰️〰️〰️〰️ ﴾ ˹Remember˺ when the wife of ’Imrân said, “My Lord! I dedicate what is in my womb entirely to Your service, so accept it from me. You ˹alone˺ are truly the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.” When she delivered, she said, “My Lord! I have given birth to a girl,”—and Allah fully knew what she had delivered—“and the male is not like the female. I have named her Mary, and I seek Your protection for her and her offspring from Satan, the accursed.” So her Lord accepted her with good acceptance and caused her to grow in a good manner and put her in the care of Zechariah. Every time Zechariah entered upon her in the prayer chamber, he found with her provision. He said, "O Mary, from where is this [coming] to you?" She said, "It is from Allah . Indeed, Allah provides for whom He wills without account."﴿
You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Muhammad sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam and his Sunnah (legal ways, etc)] are the best of peoples ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Ma’roof (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al-Munkar (polytheism, disbelief all that Islam has forbidden), and you believe in Allah. (Surat Aali Imraan: 110)
You are the best. You were, you are and you will be, that is what Kuntum (كنتم) means. You are the best of all people raised up for mankind. You are in charge of mankind and the best of all people. Why? Is it because we are Arab? Is it because we are black? We have black, we have white, we have Pakistani, we have everything here. Why are we the best of all people? Is it based on ethnicity? Did Allah say you are the best of mankind based on your ethnicity?
You are the best of mankind based on nationalism? You are the best of mankind based on your colour and your race? You are the best of all mankind by carrying and conveying this message.
That is what makes you the best. The Da’wah to Allah is what makes you the best. We are an Ummah of Da'wah and an Ummah that conveys the message. We are an Ummah in charge of all the other Umam. We were honoured because we are the carriers of this message and those who convey it.
Shaykh Ahmad Jibrīl
“There are some among the People of the Book who are upright, who recite God’s revelations during the night, who bow down in worship” (Qur’an 3:113) Imam Nawawi said: "People who finished the Qur’an in one rak’a (1 unit of prayer or standing) cannot be counted due to their sheer number!” Subhanallah. And a soul will not die but with the permission of Allah the term is fixed; and whoever desires the reward of this world, I shall give him of it, and whoever desires the reward of the hereafter I shall give him of it, and I will reward the grateful.
Allah then informs us that all of the souls are connected to their set times (to be taken away), by the permission of Allah, by His decree and destiny. So whoever it is written upon that he dies, he will die , although there may be no apparent reason. And if Allah intends that a person continues to live, he will not be harmed even if all the reasons of death come upon him - before his destined pre set time. And that is because Allah already destined and appointed his term for him.-
After this, Allah informed us that He gives the people rewards from the Dunya and the Akhirah, according to what their intentions are connected with, as He said : and whoever desires the reward of this world, I shall give him of it, and whoever desires the reward of the hereafter I shall give him of it.
...and I will reward the grateful. Allah mentions at the end of this ayah, that He rewards those who thank Him - without mentioning the reward exactly, so that it may be known that the reward is according to the level a person is grateful ; if is a lot then his reward will be great, and if little then according to that.
—-Summarized Translation —- Our deaths will not come a second earlier or later than our written appointed timings, so we must seek to be of those who intend and strive to achieve a portion of the Aakhirah - so Allah gives that to us. And we must always be abundantly grateful.

The West gradually draws the Muslims to believe that it is not an enemy of Islam so that it can lead them to humiliation and apostasy, while Allah forbids us from obeying them and summarizes for us the result: { يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَلَى أَعْقَابِكُمْ فَتَنْقَلِبُوا خَاسِرِينَ } “…they will turn you back on your heels, and you will then become losers.” [Āl ʿImrān 3:149]

Despite the difficulty suffered by the Prophet and companions at the Battle of Uhud, we read: فَأَثَـٰبَڪُمۡ غَمَّۢا بِغَمٍّ۬ “He rewarded you one distress after another…” (Qur’an 3:153). He did not say ‘afflicted you’, but rather ‘rewarded you’. Did you ever imagine that distress can be a reward? One day you will find out how your distress saved you from the Hellfire, and how your patience admitted you into Paradise.

Shaykh Sa’di (may Allah have mercy on him) said : Whoever leaves and neglects the shortcomings of the people, and restrains his tongue from following their situations that which they do not like to be made apparent, he has protected his religion and his honor, Allah will place the love of him in the hearts of the slaves; and Allah will cover his Awrah ; for indeed the reward is given according to the type of deed that is done. And your Lord is not oppressive to the slaves.
The difference between al-Dhunoob* (sins) and al-Sayyi’aat** (misdeeds):
Ibn al-Qayyim said: “(In the Qur’aan), the word “al-Dhunoob” is used to describe: Major Sins; and “al-Sayyi’aat” is used to describe: Minor Sins.
If one were to contemplate over the Aayaat of the Qur’aan, one would see that the word “al-Maghfirah” (forgiveness) is associated with the word “al-Dhunoob”, and the word “al-Kaffaarah” (expiation/removal) is associated with the word “al-Sayyi’aat”.
Allaah تعالى mentions in the Qur’aan about the Du`aa of the righteous people:
{Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds…} [Surah aal-`Imraan (3): 193]
The word “al-Maghfirah” is more complete (and perfect) than the word “al-Kaffaarah” and that is why “al-Maghfirah” is mentioned along with “al-Dhunoob” and “al-Kaffaarah” is mentioned along with “al-Sayyi’aat”
The word “al-Maghfirah” includes (or guarantees) preservation and protection (of man from the punishment); and “al-Kaffaarah” includes (or guarantees) covering (of faults) and removal (of sins).
But when either word is mentioned on its own the meaning of the other word is also included in it.
And the evidence that “al-Sayyi’aat” are Minor Sins is the saying of Allaah
{If you avoid the major sins which you are forbidden, We will remove from you your lesser sins…} [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 31]
